Gesher Shalom Palm Beach is a Messianic Jewish synagogue comprised of Jewish and non-Jewish believers in the promised Messiah of Israel – Yeshua. We live out a biblical, Torah-based Jewish heritage and lifestyle with foundation in the Tanakh (Genesis – Malachi) and B’rit Chadashah (Matthew – Revelation).
- To further the revival of the Messianic Jewish Community begun by Yeshua and His disciples in the first century, making disciples as they did in the context of their Jewish identity.
-To pray for and help bring about revival by teaching Jewish people and the nations about their Messiah.
-To function as a Messianic Jewish Community
-To worship G-d through Yeshua, by the Ruach Ha Kodesh
-To make disciples
-To retain our Jewish identity and support Israel
-To be an outreach to the community
“TO BE A BRIDGE TO THE JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY TO THEIR PROMISED MESSIAH.”
*Psalm 133:1 – We are those born Jewish and not born Jewish who worship the one G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by music, dance, liturgy and, of course, the Word of G-d as did Yeshua and the first century Jewish people.
*Isaiah 62:1 We are to be a beacon of light in Palm Beach County as a synagogue or place of gathering where people born Jewish and not born Jewish, with a heart of Ruth, who come to know their promised Messiah can worship G-d, fellowship with each other, celebrate the Shabbat and the Feasts of the L-rd. Jewish people can, therefore, know their Messiah and still retain their Jewish identity.
*Hosea 3:5 We are the remnant of Israel that has returned (t’shuva), and we seek the L-rd our G-d and Messiah our King. We are to be an outreach to the Jew first (Ro. 1:16) with the Good News that G-d is, indeed, a covenant-keeper, and that He has sent His promised Messiah to die and shed His blood of atonement for our sins so that we may return to Him for everlasting life.
*2 Tim. 3:16-17 We are a place where people born Jewish and not born Jewish may be nurtured into a loving relationship with G-d the Father through Yeshua the Son by the Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit), and may be fully equipped to fulfill the calling of G-d. Thus, we are the one new man as spoken by Rabbi Shaul.
*Ez. 39: 25-29 We are to foster love and support, through prayer and finances, for the State of Israel, and recognize, through the Scriptures, that G-d is calling His people back to the Land.
*Acts 2:42-47 We are a mishpocha - a family of G-d, breaking bread, praising and worshipping G-d, unified, loving, sharing and helping one another.
